Some of my digital graphic design work -
in partial fulfillment of degree of Media Arts - University of Montana
MAR 321 - Photoshop : Magazine-spread assignment; design a 2-page magazine article spread based on a particular style of magazine. Running with the idea, I wrote an actual, albeit simple & lighthearted article as well - interviewing and using photography from a friend: alias Holotone.
MAR 221 - Photoshop : 30-minute in-class exercise; design something that comes to mind when you think of ‘Progress.’
MAR 221 - Photoshop : Artist Inspired assignment; inspired by the ‘Natural Science’ series by Czech. surrealist Jan Svankmajer, in which he assembled mismatched bones, shells & other objects to create bizarre creatures, and displayed them as if they were real. I sourced science imagery from across the web, and assembled to look like a hand-out sheet from a fictitious Biology class by Svankmajer.
This creature was later brought to life using Toon Boom, in its animated GIF state.
MAR 221 - Photoshop : Found Objects assignment; sources limited to scanned or photographed found objects, composited digitally.
MAR 221 - Photoshop : Digital Collage assignment; utilizing scanned cut-up magazine pieces and assembled digitally.
